Have you ever tried snowshoeing? If you were born and raised in Canada, then i'm sure without a doubt you have at least once in your life attached a racquet looking device to your feet and gone adventuring in the snow.

However being the Aussie girl I am who is used to beaches and all around sunshine, I had not yet had the privilege! This past weekend we drove up to Mount Washington Ski Resort located in the Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island and rented snowshoes for a day of adventure. It was a blast! Despite the snow storm on the day we were there we still enjoyed ourselves, so much so we may invest in our very own pair of showshoes for future snow trips. It was difficult to use a camera while out there (I used a plastic bag to keep it as dry as possible) but I did manage to get some photos and video footage of our day. My next goal is to next time actually attempt to ski!! Wish me luck! Have you snowshoed? Where is your favourite place in BC to snowshoe?
