Canada Day 150! Camping at Lake Cumberland

We spent Canada Day long weekend camping at Cumberland Lake Park Campground, a beautifully treed 24 hectare Lake Park on Comox Lake offering sandy beaches, a swimming float, and a campground. The best part about camping at this campsite was the fact we were right next to the lake and could easily spend the day floating on our tubes (which you could rent (along with paddles boards, kayaks etc from the summer stand) whilst enjoying a beer (two) within just a few short steps away from our site!
I also loved the shower facilities which always makes the camping experience feel a little more glamourous. The one downside to this campground was the lack of privacy, all the sites are very open and we were situated right next to a large trailer which blocked our views of the lake. As it was Canada Day 150, it also made for an exceptionally busy weekend, so privacy was virtually non-existent. That being said, everyone was still very respectful and the whole experience was definitely one of my favourite camping experiences thus far. Also, a big thanks to Canada for letting me live in your beautiful country and enjoy these kinds of experiences with my husband and close friends!
Happy Birthday Canada.
