New Year in Seattle!

We wanted to welcome the New Year with a bang! The last couple of years we have spent New Year's Eve in Victoria and unfortunately, despite what Victoria has to offer year round - New Year's Eve is not the cities strong suit! So after two mediocre New Year's we chose Seattle as our destination to welcome in 2018! We caught the clipper from Victoria to Seattle, which a three-hour ferry ride. You can also catch the seaplane if you want to get there sooner but we were on a budget so went for the boat instead! Once we arrived in Seattle we made our way to our air bnb which was conveniently located on 5th avenue (right next to Yonni's Doughnuts) and well equipped with everything we needed for our 4-night stay! The central location made it very easy to get to most places on foot. I feel like we covered alot of ground during our stay, visiting Market Square, The Gum Wall, a live show at The Crocodile Club, An Underground Tour where we learned the history of Seattle, The Seattle Big Wheel, as well as plenty of time for visiting some local breweries and other points of interest around the city! New Year's Eve was spent meeting up with friends who were also visiting Seattle and heading over to watch the fireworks under the Space Needle! We had such a great time exploring Seattle and never felt bored or lacking things to do! The only downside of the whole trip was waking up at the crack of dawn on New Year's Day to catch the Clipper back to Victoria...
